* A nationwide Defined Contribution Plan (DCP) study of 1,345 401(k)
plan sponsors with under $5 million in plan assets. Sponsors were
asked to identify their plan’s recordkeeper (provider), and rate the
recordkeeper on a wide range of issues. Quotas were set for each
recordkeeper to provide statistically reliable samples that could be used
for competitive analysis. The data was collected April through June,
2010. Boston Research Group (BRG) is a strategic market research and
consulting firm that specializes in the financial services industry.
