Methodology. The 2024 PLANSPONSOR Defined Benefit
Administration Survey was fielded from April through June via the
Qualtrics survey platform. Data were collected from 17 providers of
DB plan administrative services. We have reported on, in aggregate,
overall DB administration clients, participants, plans and assets. We
also parsed data on DB and cash balance plans by type and DB
plans by bundled type and by plan status. In each provider profile
(see the online version of this survey), we present data points on
DB participants by plan type, DB clients by bundle type, sponsor
services offered and more. All data are as of December 31, 2023.
